We would like all of our customers to keep coming back and enjoy a shopping experience to recommend to friends and family. We aim to treat each customer as we would like to be treated.
Your statutory rights covered by the consumer protection law are not affected.
By placing an order with Karen Delahunty Ltd it is accepted you have agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Online Shop

Product details

All of our products have been photographed. We use the photos on our website to represent our products. Please be aware any images on our website are for reference only and should only be considered as illustrative. Please also be aware colours can vary on different computer monitors and look different under a variety of lighting conditions.
By submitting your order to us you are in agreement that you are aware of this fact and are confirming you are happy to place an order with Karen Delahunty Ltd.

Pricing errors

We try our best to make sure the content of our website is correct.
However if there is a product that is priced incorrectly on our website, we reserve the right to cancel an order.
The customer will be contacted by phone or email and a full refund will be given.
The customer will them be able to reorder at the correct price if they wish to do so.

Payment

Payment using the online shop is processed by PayPal.
Payment must be made in full before goods are dispatched.
Payment can also be arranged over the phone by using the Contact information number; these are processed using WorldPay.

Communication

Once your order has been placed with Karen Delahunty Ltd we will send you a confirmation email to your provided email address.
We will contact you via email or phone if there are any issues with your order.

Dispatch & Delivery

Goods in stock are usually dispatched within one working day.

Goods order on back order will be dispatched as soon as they arrive in store this can take up to 7-10 Working days.

Orders received during closed days, including English Bank holidays, will be processed next working day.
As we cannot guarantee delivery during the Christmas period, no online shop orders will be processed between December 10th and January 6th; any orders placed will be processed and dispatched after January 7th.

We offer delivery to the UK mainland, or for Local collection.
Most deliveries are made 3-4 working days after ordering.
International deliveries should contact us by the telephone or email address provided in Contact information for a postage quote.
Deliveries cannot be made on English Bank Holidays.

Most deliveries are made using Royal Mail Signed For, however larger deliveries will use a courier of our choice.
The goods requires signing for, and if someone is unavailable, the goods will be taken to the nearest Royal Mail depot for collection or redelivery.
After 18 days, the goods will be returned to Karen Delahunty Ltd; please contact us using the Contact information to discuss what you would like to do in this instance.

Local collection

Goods can be collected in person from the post address listed in Contact information.
Orders received before 12PM are available to collect 3PM same day, and orders received later will be available 11AM next working day.
Please check the opening times before travelling.

Order cancellation

You have the right to cancel any goods ordered until they are dispatched, and a full Refund will be given.
Please bear in mind that a cancellation period may only be a matter of hours.
If goods have been dispatched, you may return unwanted goods in accordance with our Returns & Refunds policy.

Returns & Refunds

Please contact us using the telephone or email address provided in Contact information within 7 working days of purchase to process a return.
Karen Delahunty Ltd will not process any returns postmarked 7 working days after the shipping date.
Goods sent back without prior notice or without postage cost paid, we have the right to deduct this charge from the refund being re-credited.
Returns can be made in person to the postal address in Contact information, however refunds will not be given in person, and will be processed as other online shop sales.
Refunds for online shop purchases are processed via PayPal, and can take 3-5 working days to clear.

Non refundable goods

Patterns, cut fabric, ribbons or trims are non-refundable, unless damaged during shipping.

Faulty or damaged goods

Faulty or damaged goods will be replaced or refunded, whichever you prefer.
The goods must be returned, in the original condition your received them, to Karen Delahunty Ltd before a refund is processed or replacement is shipped.
Return shipping will be reimbursed by Karen Delahunty Ltd.
Refunds where requested will include any original and returns postage paid.

Unwanted goods

Returned goods must be in a saleable condition before a refund is processed.
Postage, both original and return, will not be refunded by Karen Delahunty Ltd.
Return postage is at customer’s own cost and risk, and we recommend using recorded and insured shipping; returns damaged or lost in shipping will not be refunded by Karen Delahunty Ltd, and the customer must make a claim against their courier for incurred costs.


Classes & Workshops

Booking

Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing cannot transfer bookings for any classes/course or workshops to alternative dates or times.
Please make sure you check the dates and times of the class/course or workshop prior to booking.
If for any reason you cannot attend your booked class/course or workshop please feel free to send a substitute person. If you are sending a substitute please inform Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing at least one hour before the class/course or workshop begins.
Please make sure prior to booking that you have chosen the correct class/course or workshop for you to attend suitable to your ability. Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing will not be transferring any
classes once booked.
Late bookings can be made up to 24 hours before a class/course or workshop starts.
All classes/courses and workshops must be paid in full prior to when your class/course or workshop commences.
Payment can be made by cash in-store, PayPal or credit/debit card, cheques are not accepted.
Whether booking by post, in-store or online you are acknowledging you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Your booking will only be confirmed when full payment to Karen Delahunty Ltd has been received.

Provision of equipment

Equipment lists will be issued to customers where necessary once you have made full payment for your class/course or workshop.
Please check the dates of your class/course or workshop and make a note of them as Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing will not be issuing any reminders.

Sewing machines are available to use at Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing.
You are more than welcome to bring your own as long as the machine has been PAT tested within the last 2 years; Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing reserves the right to refuse use of personal equipment for any reason.
Use of any machine is at your own risk.

Limitation of responsibility

Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing takes no responsibility for any injuries you might suffer during any class/course or workshop either due to using our/or your own, tools/equipment, such as sewing machines, cutters, scissors, needles and irons.

Cancellations & Refunds

By you

Refunds will only be given for classes/courses or workshops that have been paid for in full and will be issued on the following basis:

  • 28 days or more before the date of workshop 30%
  • 27-15 days before the date of workshop 10%
  • Less than 14 days, no refund will be given.
By Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a workshop you will be given at least 24 hours notice and offered a transfer to another date or a full refund will be given.
We will not be held liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur in the event of a cancellation by Karen Delahunty’s School of Sewing.
