Garment making skills – dressmaking
Tuesday Evenings (6 session course, dates are set, they cannot be moved or refunded)
Time: 6 – 8pm
For anyone who wants to make clothes and create garments
Karen will show you how to develop your dressmaking skills. Starting with an ‘easy’ commercial pattern, you will learn how to make a basic skirt, simple top or an easy simple dress during the six sessions of this course.
Find out how to choose fabrics to match your chosen design, Understand the basics of a commercial Pattern. You will learn how check and fit a basic pattern to your measurements. You’ll be guided through each stage of the construction, as well as learning lots of great sewing techniques along the way.
Please bring along the following to your course:
A simple/easy commercial pattern of your choice.
We suggest something simple like a basic skirt or a very simple top pattern with the aim to complete in the 6 sessions.
